I'm afraid to say that the after pains get worse with every labour. Make sure you ask the midwife for good pain relief. Good luck

with my 1st child i dont remember having any pains after but with my second child i was in alot of pain after-wards. it felt like i was in labour all over again. i hope it doesnt get worse, but i was told by my o.b. nurse that the more kids u have the worse the pain gets after. i to am going to have more kids and i hope they r wrong about the pain factor.

yes in my experience the after pains do get worse with each one, my first two i could tolerate, the third was pain full and my fourth put me off having anymore, but in saying these the Dr's can give you something for the pain as long as your not breastfeeding, good luck

Ive got four babies. It only ever took 800mg of motrin for me to feel better. It always hurt the most when I had a baby at my breast because it caused the uterus to contract so hard, but because of that, I didn't ever bleed for too long.
You should be fine. Just take the medication every 6 hours to keep from having the pain start in on you again.
Good luck with your new baby!!

i think every one is different...i have had 3 babies too and the afterpains have got progressivly worse...with my last it did feel like labour again....but dont worry,it's just your womb being lifted back into its original position.it feels worse if you breast feed too, because the lifting is quicker.good luck.lots of paracetamol in the cupboard is a good idea.

I've had 2 babies. I can't remember any after pains. I guess they weren't that bad.

Don't worry now about something that you can't control in the future. You can always take TOC pain relievers.
