It doesn't sound like you've asked her about them at all yet. So go ahead and ask her if she can bring them back to you in the morning, so you can maybe wear them over the weekend. If you've asked before and she just doesn't bring them back, show up at her house and say that you need to pick up those pants now because your mom is asking about them. That way, she can't keep putting you off about it.

Just tell her that you need them back. Say your sister asks you about them all the time and she is hurt that she hasn't seen you in them.
Don't worry about being mean when your "friend" has jacked your gift of new pants!
Be assertive. It's not being mean. You have to stick up for yourself in this world! You have rights to your own stuff. If your friend did not return the pants immediately after using them with a grateful "thanks", she is taking advantage of you.
Next time you are asked, just say "NO"!

The same way you just described. Saying they are your pants and you want to wear them should be enough and not mean. If she doesn't comply then maybe you need to be mean. Anyone who keeps someones stuff for that long is disrespectful and really deserves an ear full.

Just take her stuff back to her and say something like "sorry it took me so long to get these back to you! Can I get my pants? My sister is asking how come I never wear them and I don't want her to get mad at me..." And smile!
If she gets offended, she's not your friend.
If she wants to trade or borrow clothes again and you still live with your parents, and they buy most of your clothes, just say your mom won't let you.
Or, ultimately, just tell the truth. Say you don;t like exchanging clothes.. let her deal with it. It's not mean--- it practical.

I do not like to share my clothes either. When an event come up that you want to wear those pants, let her know ahead of time that you want to wear them at the event. Find a way and the words to express to her that you do not like to share your clothes neither do you like to wear others clothes.

yu need to tell her how yu feel about yur friend wearing yur clothes. yu should tell her tht best friends don't have to share everything and since the pants is something yu got from yur sister through love, yu would love to keep it to yurself. yu could give examples like 'wht if yu got _____ from _____ and i borrow it and not yet had returned it'. if there's no response, yu have to become mean and show her how she cannot control yu the way she wants.

Tell her you have a special occasion to go to and you really want to wear those pants. Or when you go to her house if you see them be like "oh i have been looking for these everywhere!" and just take them. they're yours. you have the right to do that.
