It used to be quite interesting when I was teenager but now it's pretty boring.
I dropped out of high school (very breifly) and was hanging out with the "bad boyz." We had ALOT of fun and did some crazy (stupid) things. But then my parents sent me to an all girls boarding school and I straightened up.
College was very fun! Again...did alot of crazy and stupid things but this time I had a goal to graduate.
Graduate school was cool - met alot of cool people and had alot of fun.
Now I'm your typical person - married with a kid, nice house, nice car. Nothing too exciting!

My life has been interesting and also heart wrenching, but with everything that has gone on I wouldn't change it. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." I practically raised myself due to both parents being incapable of caring for even themselves due to mental issues. I made sure I got to school, I made sure I ate, I made sure my clothes were clean, if I didn't there would be hell to pay. The most severe was the mental abuse and neglect I endured. My older sister wasn't so lucky; she also suffered sexual abuse at the hands of our own father. I used to pray every night for God to send me new parents....EVERY NIGHT. Still to this day it is sooo hard to comprehend how someone could do these things to their own children. I still have days where I struggle with this especially after becoming a mother; how they could throw their children away?? From the age of 6 I was dragged across the country to live with complete strangers (men my mother had written to through newspaper ads).Thank God none of those men were ever anything but nice and caring. (The highlight of that would be I got to see the country, it is absolutely beautiful.) Being raised this way I never realized the potential dangers until I was well into my teenage years, the way things went I surprise myself that I'm not a hooker addicted to heroin. Of course with no direction from authority figures in my life I made a few mistakes. One of those which is a blessing now is my son; I had him when I was 17. Although I was a teenage mother I still graduated high school and went on to college. Currently I have control over my life, I lack 30 hours to having a Bachelor of Science degree, have a career as a engineering technician, and just bought a new car, and the prize possession a loving family of my own. What may seem boring to most is all I ever wanted in life....STABILITY. The reason for telling all this is to say I am not a victim, I am a survivor! Keep trying even when you’re dealt a hard hand.

I'm only 27, so may life is far from over yet! I could say the most interesting thing that has happened to me in my life (thus far), is that I gave a child up for adoption when I was nineteen. My husband (at that time a guy I had just started dating) and I were taking preventative measures to not have kids. I was on birth control. But we ended up pregnant. Abortion was not an option for us (I'm not saying it shouldn't be, just personal opinion) and we definately did not want a child. We thought about it, and adoption was best for us. We actually found an attorney in Hawaii, hand picked the family to raise our baby, and even went out to Hawaii to have the baby. He will be 7 in April and my boyfriend and I got married in June. We even had a daughter (planned) in the process!
I think what makes your life interesting is the people that you meet and the things that you do to stand out from the crowd. I grew up on a farm, have lived many places, and have travelled a little bit (Central America, all over the US). I make lifelong friends and keep my options open and stay level-headed and don't judge people at all. Your best friend or your next adventure could be found in the least likely person and in the least likely situation.
I just want to say kudos to you for asking a great question! This is the reason (I feel) that Y!A is here.
Thanks for letting me share!

Yes, so far, I have. I grew up in Texas, and thought I'd be a "traditional" wife (I'm 52), mother, etc., with 2.37 kids, a dog, a mortgage, a successful husband, would live in Texas all my life, and all the rest. Instead, I have one child, I'm divorced, I got a B.S. in computer science and became a computer programmer (which career didn't even exist when I was a kid); I moved to Colorado and lived in the mountains for a few years after I divorced, and now live in Washington state, where I came to live after being hired to work by one of the biggest software companies in the world. I'm thinking about going back to school because I'm tired of computers, and may end up with a PhD in botany if all goes well. After that, I'd like to do some kind of research - time will tell. My life has been many things, but "dull" hasn't been one of them! :-)

I don't know if it would entertain anyone else but, it's definately kept me coming back for more.
Highlights? The day she' said yes. The 3 kids that I never imagined would be so amazing. The night it all changed because someone else hung on a cross for me. Holding that young man's hand as he went into the water to show the world his faith. Realizing that I was finally at peace with God, myself and my loved ones.
I'm still young. I hope that I have time to gather many more stories to tell. But, if I don't I know I will have finished the race as best I could and will be happy to face my Lord with joy.

not really. I've done a lot of things, love Disney, have been married 28 years and have 4 great adult kids - but.....
About the only thing really different is that I live in Cuba for a while when I was a baby. My dad was working there and we got kicked out in 1958 with all the rest of the Americans when Castro took over.

I am 44 years old, and my life gets better and more interesting every day.
From my liberation from high school through a haze of college, from my several jobs to going to law school, from meeting my wife to marrying my wife to having kids with my wife, from starting as a trial attorney to now being senior litigation attorney:
life gets better and better.
And the times life got worse? It got BETTER after that!
Yes, I have had an interesting life.
Highlight? I met the guy who developed the orange triangle on the back of slow-moving vehicles, and I ate goat in Africa, and I met a gold-medal-winning Olympic athlete. And I see my kids every day.
