I am looking at an older condo. It was built in 1965. How can I find out about the structural integrety of a building?

I currently live in one which was completed in 1971, on Hallandale Beach Blvd and the A1A in Florida, which is like, hurricane centeral.

Other than the obviously '70's styling in the elevator hallways and lobby, it's in great shape structurally. The particular unit that I live in needs a little love, but nothing major. A fresh coat of paint would fluff it right up.
