Do you check to see if anyone is looking before you sniff your fingers, or do you not care if it's noticed. I ask as I've just been caught and shrugged my shoulders.
(maybe I should mention it was in the supermarket and I dropped my trousers and underwear to eradicate the offending itch)

I would make it very obvious what I was doing, and offer to let the public smell my fingers as well, don't want them getting jealous.

If I gotta itch i public I just pucker up and wait until I am in private, or find a seat and pretend like I am getting comfortable.

I always sniff the wifes toothbrush as i always use that to claw away at the clinkers.....
