I've been collecting stories from various members of my extended family about "firsts" for them as Blacks. Like I have a relative that served as the "first Black" a judge in a Southern State Supreme Court. Another is a cousin of 16 who just became the "first Black girl" to become a Homecoming Queen in her school ever.

I don't. I think it's stupid to celebrate any history for only a month. History occures all year long. Why pick one month? Having a Black History month is reverse descrimination and racist. You don't hear many complaints but if there was a Caucasian History month people would be up in arms screaming RACISM! Why is it only Caucasians are considered racist & not Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Arabs, or any other race, ethnicity or national origin?

As a double standard that I will not recognize until there is either a White History Month, or February becomes just another set of ticks on the calendar.

I'll celebrate it by being thankful that February is the shortest month of the year.
I hate it when people force me to acknowledge them based on their race. It's just plain racist and ironic. Doesn't surprise me given the level of idiocy so prevalent in the world. God! When is someone going to invent a pill to rid humankind of stupidity!?

I'm not. I also do not celibrate any other History Month. I think the selection of a month dedicated to any race is racist in it's own and is only a tool to promote racism.
It's sad.

I don't celebrate any particular ethnic theme group of the month. That's racist. I give respect, I get respect. That's as good as it gets in life, but thanks for asking.
