When the boy reaches manhood, how does he learn to be a man?

This would be the case for my husband. His father was a horrible role model or no role model at all.

My husband is financially responsible, but he is absolutely clueless about how to take care of a home or how to take care of a relationship or be an equal partner in a relationship. There is a gross imbalance in the distribution of responsibilities when it comes to running the home and maintaining the physical house itself. I feel I am ALWAYS working while he is mostly playing (computer or outside sports). The result is, I am exhausted, resentful, not much fun to be around and becoming bitter. He is like a happy-go-lucky 15-year-old (unless, of course, I'm bitching at him). I love him very much and I know that he genuinely loves me back, but I am certainly not equipped (no pun intended) to teach him how to be a man. Are there any men's groups out there that maybe address this issue?

Not really. He has to learn from you. I know you are exhausted, but if you truly love him, you need to teach him these things. Give him a list of what you need done and see how he does.

I have this same problem with my husband, although he is "ok" with relationships. I do ALL th ehouse work and take care of all the animals along with my 11 year old(from a previous relationship) We have gotten into HUGE fights because I will be so furious with him that I become a complete b*tch to him, his response: all you have to do is ask me!! Yeah, sure! He LOVES his computer games also! What my situation boils down to is: HIS MOTHER!!! He was NEVER made to do anything, including cleaning his own room! His father was NOT in the picture. Unfortunately they really don't change. I love him and have accepted the fact that he is truly lazy. He will help IF I ask, which isn't too often, so really there's nobody to blame but myself. Good Luck, I feel for you:)

Sorry to say it's to late. Don't know of any groups that teach MEN how to be MEN. If there were they would be overbooked with 90% of the men out here. Good luck.
