oooohh, I got a great one a few years ago (which being a soppy romantic I kept) I hope I'm not breaching copyright or anything by re-posting someone Else's poem but I'll assume that, as it was given as an anonymous gift, the sender intended to hand over all rights to the poem when he passed it on to me :)

I like your smile
I wonder could we meet up
and chat for a while
we could go for a drink
a meal or a show
whatever might happen
nobody knows
and when it's all over
and it's at an end
we might hit it off
or you could just make a new friend
I haven't read it in ages! I wish I'd replied now, sadly I was dating someone at the time (who, incidentally, was a complete **** so I definitely would've sacked him off for poem guy!)

Go into a shop and look at the cards you are bound to find a suitable verse which can be adapted .Go for it!!!!
