what are the pro's and cons of forensic science and how much does it normally pay?

It is very challenging, exciting, & the people , places , & situations you are involved with are constantly changing.

On the down side you are often dealing w some of the uglier sides of this human existence & have to be able to deal w those type of things in an almost emotionless way, lest you become affected by them internally

The pay is very good, & from what I understand there are frequent opportunities to act as an expert for court, lawsuits, etc on a freelance basis.
