Why don't you try a tinted moisturiser. Its a bit easier to put on as you don't have to do as much blending. I've been using the Nivea one and it feel really nice and light on. Alternatively why don't you try going to a department store like Debenhams or Frasers. The counter assistants will help you find a foundation that is suitable for you and you can try them out....they usually give away some freebies too so you can try them out at home x x

I would go for dream matt mousse by maybelline. It may seem expensive for the amount you get but you don't use that much. Also it won't matter that you've never used foundation before because it blends so easily, lasts all day and doesn't wipe or slide off which liquid foundations tend to do.
I think you would like this because you wouldn't need to keep re applying and it doesn't feel like you are wearing any make up at all.

It might be helpful for you to go to www.marykay.com to find a local Independent Beauty Consultant to help you out. Mary Kay has several foundations and they are all 100% guaranteed. You are able to try free samples and she/he will be able to help you find the right shade. There is a creme-to-powder that I use. It goes on as creme and dries to a powdery (no shine) finish. If you don't like what you buy, return it for an exchange or refund. You can do this all in the comfort of your home or a friend's home and you can have other people join you if you'd like and you can earn free products.

Clinique makes one called Almost Makeup that is really light. It's about $16 for a tube but it works really great. You should also try visiting a make-up counter and ask for a makeover they are usually free if you buy two products. So not only do you get great foundation but they will show you how to use it.

I just went through this myself (just turened 33)...never used the stuff but found I needed to even my skin. Dermologica has a great tinted moisturizer but if you want more than that I love the Bare Minerals powder. You can choose the amount coverage and you don't feel like you're wearing a mask.

I would recommend not getting an expensive brand until you know what u like in ur foundation. Usually you just need to experiment. Almay has good foundation.

I like Clinique "Almost Makeup." It's a light liquid foundation with a sun block.
