I want to go stay with my boyfriend over the summer but I know my mom would never let me go she is so strict and I'll be almost 18. Should I just tell her I'm going to stay by a friends house?

u know i myself sometimes lie on my mother, i know ur feeling when u want to so sth but ur mother don't accept it, but did u think why did she don't accept that?!!
sure she did that for ur sake and safety, coz she is afraid about u, coz she loves and cares for u..
she only want u to be ok, so don't lie on her coz if u had a problem she would be the first and only one who would help u without asking for any return, trust me.

Hell no you shouldn't lie to your mom!!! Just because you're "almost 18," does NOT give you the right to do whatever you want. What if your mom caught you staying with your boyfriend this summer? You will get into a lot of trouble and you know that. You want your mom to trust you, right? Don't throw that away because once you lie to your parents, and they catch you, it will take a really long time to gain their trust back. It's not worth lying to your mom about anything at all. I'm not trying to be hard on you or anything but you need to start making better decisions for yourself before you start stepping out into the real world, sweetheart. I hope my advice helps you. Good luck.

It is never a good thing to deliberately lie. Eventually something happens and you are found out and that makes all matters worse. You need to sit down with your mom and discuss this. What are her reasons for not wanting you to go? Is there going to be supervision? Your mother is responsible for you as long as you live with her, don't put her in a position of not knowing where you truly are and what you are doing. Many things could happen and it could all get messy. Why don't you see if she would let you go for a few days at a time. Listen to her reasons and then as maturely as you can let her know how you feel. Have you been with this boy for a long time or just recently started dating. At this age you should be getting a summer job to save for a car and other necessities of life. Have you given this whole situation any serious thought? Good luck and God Bless.

It might seem like a painful suggestion now but can you wait until you're 18. Whether or not your mom ever approves, you will have so much more on your side when you are legally allowed to make these kinds of decisions.
Of course, none of us know your mom (or you for that matter), but would sitting down with her and discussing this like two adults make a difference? You will promise not to do this and that and will call her every day.

You are an adult once you turn eighteen. You do not have to ask permission at that time unless you value your mothers opinion. Which is a good thing. It is a good idea to stay with your mother until you turn eighteen.

No. Don't lie at her.
She loves you, and want what is good for you.
