I absolutely refuse to believe that all of these men were angels before their marriage, then turned creepy the day after they got married. It happens to be sure, but not ALL THE TIME.

Because of that, I think you make a valid point. Women know full well what weirdo murdreous guys are like, then they marry them and let themselves get pregnant by them anyway. And it's a travesty.

I could write volumes of opinion on this subject, but this isn't the place.
Totally impossible but wouldn't it be great if people had to get a license to have kids? Maybe some classes and then a test to analyze their ability to be good parents.Then maybe some kind of robot "virtual baby" they had to care for for a month before passing the exam. Weed out short tempers and absent minded people first. It's just a fantasy, but having children is such a huge responsibility and so many people just don't see it that way.Young couples have a child and seem to treat it like buying a puppy.
The other point I make addresses your question a little more directly (and this one baffles me and I have been a witness to it) Why do women EVER put up with an abusive boyfriend/spouse.You see it on COPS type show; police arrive at a domestic violence call, woman is obviously routinely abused,police ask if she wants to press charges, she says no he loves me...Yes, I understand the fear factor for her,and I think domestic violence laws should be MUCH stricter when the violence is irrefutable.Lay hands on a woman,it's jail.Period. But also, why do women go BACK to these men.When they have a chance to leave, often they run right back into the fire. I had a woman friend who routinely was abused, would leave,could have stayed away with no fear of him looking for her (or even caring) but she would go back to him and ASK if he would still have her.Over and over. The psychological term is "Battered Wife Syndrome" , but it just kills me. I have (as you may have guessed) huge issues with abuse of women or children, and this particular phenomenon breaks my heart and p*sses me right off. Well I could just keep spewing but again this isn't the place I suppose. Thanks for letting me vent.

For some awful reason, the media has a perfect ability to emphasize negative news. Sometimes, I would like to hear the good things that go on in the world. That being said, this sicko should have been charged with capital murder. He should be facing execution. He knocked the girl unconscious because she wanted to play and not return to bed. Then he put her out in the cold.

Women (not all, but many) seem to like the bad boy. The roughneck. The thug. All these videos have these idiotic rappers rapping about the size of their tool, how much drugs they sell and how many women they bag. Women burned bras for equality in the 60s and 70s, yet are vocally absent now. Somewhere he looked "strong" and "virile". It isn't always about looks. We have to look inside the heart of the people we are dating, regardless of sex.

The sad thing is the mother will probably end up defending him. I knew a girl whose boyfriend bite the baby "in a fun and loving manner" (as in a black bite mark that lasted weeks) and not only did she refuse to prosecute, she defended AFTER he confessed. Love can make people do strange things. This is just particularly sad because it helps to remind you about ALL the people who would sell their soul for the opportunity and privilege of being parents, yet can't. The rules of adoption and foster care are so stringent, yet some can conceive so irresponsibly is TOO SAD FOR WORDS.

You are talking about women that live with a man whose not the father of these kids. They just need companion and the women's kids get abused, right? This is wrong, why have kids without being married or having a commitment?

Some lonely people can be really weak and short sighted. Fooling themselves. Instant gratification at the expense of long term pain which hurts many people, manifests in many situations. This is one of them. One of the worst. It's like crack for lonely horny people. I'm proud to say I never have nor would I ever do that to my family, or to someone else's family.

because sometimes before we marry people they show us only their good sides, maybe the women are dysfunctional anyway and what others would see as nutty others would just see as normal. these women have no self esteem and settle for less, because they are such in a hurry to marry. women marry for all different reasons maybe some out of desperation, and usually get the wrong man.

Well, people make mistakes in life ya know. Sometimes men, and women too, are good at hiding the evil sides of themselves from there significant others. Sometimes the signs are right in front there faces, but they refuse to see them or look beyond them because there in love. It hard to say. It is indeed very sad.

Woah there. Many infant deaths have been the result of unfit mothers: "Toddler dies of heat exhaustion after left in car" It is the greatest responsibility in the world to raise a child. Unforetunately, there are just to many poor parents out there. It's funny, you need to pass a test to drive a car but you dont need any education to have a child.
