please help me find the pattern in this sequence: 4, 6, 9, 13.5, 20.25?

each number is 1.5 times the previous:

1.5 x 4 = 6
1.5 x 6 = 9
1.5 x 9 = 13.5
etc.

+ 50 % (simply add half of each number to that number)

4 + 2 = 6
6 + 3 = 9
and so on
