Not EXACTLY fre of charge.
You'll have to buy decent quality paper, and of course pay for the ink cartridges.
A friend of mine does this in large editions with 'scans' of her own work.
Works really well with delicate watercolours.
She cuts her Christmas card costs enormously.
WARNING, don't attempt it if you don't have a patient disposition!-good luck sw

I designed and printed the invitations, programs, and candy wrappers for both of my daughters weddings.

I also design and print my own notecards and Christmas cards. I figure Iknow my friends better than Hallmark does.

All it takes is your creativity, lots of time, and a decent printer. There are lots of graphics and fonts available for free on the net and photo editing programs to put it all together. I print mine in MS Word by setting the page up to be the size of the card I want.

You can get kits do do this, or you will need a suitable programme such as microsoft publisher. It will also depend on the quality of your printer vs the images you want on your invitation. But there is no reason why you shouldn;t do this at all.
