Turn off Windows Firewall in the control panel.

Hi Rosy,
I don't know what program you are using for a firewall but open that program and look for options. When you find it find the "Exception" list and add Limewire.
Shut down and restart your system to make sure all changes take effect.
If you have trouble post the name of your firewall & someone can help you.

try goin file then connect or if that does not work go in to control panel then windows firewall then go exceptions then look for limewire then click the box beside it it that does not work try rebooting your computer or re-installing limewire
