There isn't any beaches in KL except parks and shopping complexes if you're into city life. But if you're keen on relaxing at beaches i shall recommend you to the east coast of West Malaysia. There are number of resorts available to rejuvenate yourself and you wont be disappointed with a trip of 3 to 4 hrs of driving.
And if there's not enough you may want to go for island hopping to Pulau Redang, Pulau Perhentian and few more holiday island resorts...

Hehe...funny u should ask this...About 28% of the total population of Malaysians are Chinese. So if u r in KL, u will definitely see Chinese everywhere. The city takes pride in celebrating festivals of different races and religions with a gusto, unlike predominantly Chinese countries where the Chinese New Year celebration is not as intense, perhaps due to the fact that Chinese overseas tend to be more patriotic and want to observe their traditions and values. Yeah, u get a pretty good atmosphere wherever u r in KL on the 5th day.Mind u, the city can b a little quiet on the first 2 days as most Chinese would have gone back to their respective states to celebrate the festival with their families outside the city. Thats the best time to drive in the city. People of other races also take advantage of the season and head off to the countryside and "balik kampung" as they call it.Have fun and "Gong Xi Fa Cai". Oh yes and another thing, Chinatown is not that very far from where u will be staying. Just hop on the monorail and alight at Maharaja station and walk into Chinatown, or take a cab, its not that expensive.

The nearest beach is Port Dickson .Its about 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. Nothing fantastic about this beach. It is very dirty. You may try the man made " beach " at the Sunway Lagoon in Subang. Its about 40 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. Equavalent to the Mamzar Beach will be beaches in Langkawi Island.

the hotel is located in city centre. it situated way too far from beach. the nearest beach in klang valley is sunway lagoon. it is a theme park with artificial beach.
if you still insist to stay in hotel near beach, you have to go to port dickson. It located about 2 hour journey from kl. i couldn't recall any decent beach near kl. Forget about morib.
