I just saw an advertisement for a razor that's supposed to last forever. $20 is less than I spend on one set of Mach3 cartridge refills! I'm cautious, because I have thick whiskers. So, what's the catch?

Bought this product for my fiance, and he said it barely got through all the hair and it was painful going over his face. There's only one blade and it like using one of those cheap disposable razors.
