One side says its a natural reoccuring event that happens around every 100,000 years, the other side says its a man made event from buring fossil fuels and the such. Regardless which side is right-arent we in trouble either way? Either way - man made or natural the ice caps are melting, the earth is getting warmer. Neither side denies that. (well, some do...but most dont). So do we just sit around and let what happens happen just because its a natural event? Or do we try to find another way of stopping it.
Even President Bush now says that global warming is real and a danger to our planet.

What ever is happening certainly has my attention, Weather it is a 100,000 year occurrence or our own doing, seems like there has to be an answer to solve it somehow. I watched Oprah's show on it a while back, and it is scary to see the town's getting overtook by the water. I am assuming we probably will end up just living with the consequences as it happens, seems like there is no real answer as yet.

how are you going to stop it if its a natural event? Are you going to plead with mother nature to stop? its a good thing that our govt is now realizing the dangers, because they blew right by this issue long time ago when they could have reduced greenhouse emission, but who would have lost business if people used cleaner fuel? the big corporations like chevy and ford would because now people wont buy their cars. and who backs up the polititians? the big corporations do. They never wanted to think about the aftereffets at all because they just wanted to make money for the NOW. its sad because whats money gonna do when you cant have children or your children wont be able to even live in the future? my opinion all these politiians run for office for their own benefit. look at social security....When you bring up the subject to older people they like it cause theyll benefit but the ones that will suffer are the future generations. and they wont change this becuase they are too stuburn and selfish. People dont want the changes because we are creatures of habit and thats where the whole issue come in when will we change our ways of daily life without fossil fuel? The ones in control are the lawmakers because they have the power to gradually transfer from fossil fuel to cleaner fuel, but it wont happen because corporations wont budge in for this lawmaker. We as a people need to address this otherwise this cycle will go on untill we cant do nothing about it.

Just to add a little perspective to this: In the 900s AD the temperatures were warmer than now; in the 1300s there was a small ice age, with glaciers encroaching on farmland. These glaciers later shrank again.
It may be that we are changing the climate somewhat, but the climate changes spontaneously also.
It requires attention, but it's not an emergency.

China's inhabitants density additionally performs a functionality there, yet we see the comparable element with Detroit. united statesa. became meant to be a agrarian usa no longer an commercial usa. If we did that we'd have 87 to 88 human beings each and every sq. mile. Which certainly supplies anybody a minimum of an acre of land. As for the toxins situation, consistent with possibility the towns ought to have resolutions of their community governments. I stay in a small city in New Hampshire, and the air has no toxins what so ever. you are able to certainly scent nature. So consistent with possibility it relatively is a great situation for community governments, yet on a countrywide point it relatively is barely disruptive.

What do we do? Let nature run its course. We humans have never been able to alter natures behavior. This is NOT the beginning of the end like certain political groups are saying it is. What is truly sad is that there are so many people that allow themselves to be swept up into the false hysteria.

If there is a real negative affect to global warming what would we do about it. Asking the so called scientists would not be of any use. They clearly have a political agenda that is anti USA; that cannot be denied.

If there is a problem we cannot solve it by shutting down the US economy while allowing India and China to continue polluting.
