Is tuition paid for private elementary and high school education deductable?

Unfortunately NO. This has been up for debate and discussion forever, but the law says if you chose to go to a private school and pay tuition, it's your choice. Cannot deduct for tax purposes.

no, because the government is already spending a ton of money to make a public elementary and high schools available for all kids.
