is this speed reasonable for downloads and video playing?

it is.
i use it and i'm happy with it.
i stream video and audio, and also download.
gd thing is its unlimited.

that's 56kb/s to be exact, 512/8=56. for comparison, dsl speed in canada is 1.5mbit, that's around 160kb/s for around $30 a month. I upgraded to cable which is now 5mbit -> around 500kb/s on some downloads for around $40 a month.

so in conclusion 512 is pretty slow nowadays. plus i hope your referring to 512bps and not 512mbps because that would be insane. no such option exist for the normal household. that would be like downloading a 4gb dvd movie in just over a minute.

that means you have 512 mbps download speed and unlimited downloads, this is fast enough for what you need, I had that speed for a long while until my isp upgraded my speed and it was fine for me

Downloads will run as fast as the bandwith that is available to you,
(depends on where in the system you live and how many people are logged on ) upload is 512mbps
this is very good service.

it can download up to 512kb per second it is 10 times faster than dial up as that is 56kb per second
