At my job i have paid vacations. I get paid salary. My question is i get my salary and get paid my days off(vacation days),and get an extra check????

NO. It means you get paid your regular salary while on vacation. You don't get "extra" money. If you make $500 per week, it means you get the $500 when you are not at work and on vacation. In other words, you still get your paycheck while on vacation.

It depends how your company works. Some companies give you a week off and give you a paycheck for that week. Other companies however don't give you ANY time off and just give you an extra paycheck.
