She is a very scary person, evil to the core, but just conceiving isn't enough to have welfare intervene. The best course of action--- if any action truly can be even taken--- would be for her parents or her husband's parents (don't know if she is married but you know what I mean, whoever the baby's father is) were to file in civil court. They could sue her for custody of the child based on her prior bad acts, which aren't always admissable in criminal court, and might not hold much water in the child welfare system till she actually harms the child.

Personally I think anyone who would even get close enough to that woman to father her child needs to be given a psychiatric evaluation. I'm just amazed that anyone would ever get involved with her, given what she has done. Her crimes were jaw-dropping and the definition of evil.

I think it's a scarrie thought - her being a "mother". The fact remains she should never have been given a "deal"....she deserved to be given "life without parole" or the death penalty. She wasn't a "victim", the video tapes she & Paul Bernardo made shows clearly that she was a willing, enthusiastic participant.... they killed three teenage girls......her lil' sister was one of their victims...she participated in drugging & killing & raping & sodomizing her own lil' sister. I feel for her parents...they've really lost both their daughters....& NOW, for Karla to be pregnant, & have a baby.....While in the eyes of the law she has served her time & is free...12 years isn't punishment for three sexually explicit - violent murders. i feel for the child i really do.
