I think that you have a distorted view of marriage and entertain a concept of having a "trophy man" as a husband. Keep divorcing one and marrying a better one until you get what you think you want.
There's a problem with that. As you "marry up", you will eventually be that "good for nothing wife" who is a kept woman to her truly cosmopolitan husband. You will have all the worldly trappings but a very empty marriage. He might look at you now and then in a disdainful way but he holds you in utter contempt and allows you to wallow in material goods, alcohol and drugs until you completely self-destruct. You will be nothing more than arm-candy.
How's that working for you?

He's just a Jerk. I believe that a woman is basically free to work at whatever she pleases until she has a baby, then I believe she should stay home, keep house and attend to the baby and eventually school the kid. that is the woman's job. However this isn't nothing, it is the most important part of a happy home.

I divorced mine. I refused to be treated poorly and it wasn't due to a lack of effort to make things better on my part. When all resources were depleated, I left. I can see why some women and men won't leave their spouce if there are children involved. There are also other reasons why people don't leave. You just stated two reasons for them to possibly stay.

FAR TOO MANY.
Too many women are afraid of really doing "it" on their own. I could never settle. I'd rather die single, thriving and happy, than married to a basta*d and miserable. Life is TOO short!

Lots i expect. Sadly it seems far scarier to leave and be happy then stay and plod along under a cloud. I also think alot of us dont trust our own judgement. They dont go because they are scared they will somehow be worse off and dont know what they really want anymore.

None -7; Well, I had a school-teacher -up from Cagayan de Oro..
'loyally', sick with ME..(!) a whole thirtenn years!
(And certainly, now I really am, "Good for NOTHING")..
- other than enjoying winning (small, neat) writing-competitions,
- already, quite well-known as: (Yahoo's).. "Answers".
It is a place where (near), "worn-out" [older Wisdom],
can efficiently 'scan-about'.. for younger, 'perplexed folk';
and, ..then -drawing-on, a half-century OF Experience..
gently, tactfully suggest, HOW they can arrive AT their Answer!
