I would say Brazil Ronaldo. We know how good he is with the ball, even at his age. Cristiano is a newborn when it comes to soccer. He does have fast feet, he does make plays, but he doesn't have the emotional and mental skills for the game. There is practically noone in Portugal and around the world who watched him play and missed his crying.
To play soccer, you must know what it is. Cristiano takes his games as a life and death thing, based on his emotional outcry. Ronaldo is THE Ronaldo. He takes people out on his own, he creates plays, goals, and sensational shows. Cristiano is lucky to be wearing #7, that's all. He's following in Beckham's steps so far. Has the girls screaming for me, and the guys praising his plays. But have him miss-play a few games, and it won't be none for him left. People would forget his 20's looks. Have Ronaldo miss-play a few games and people get worries. After all, Ronaldo has a much greater history than Cristiano.
You want a good player to "worship"? Take my man Ronney. At 16 yrs old, he joined Everton in EPL, at 18 or so Manchester United took him in. He broke a metatarsal bone, and recovered in 1/3 of the time people recovered from!!! On top of that, fk-ing Errikson had him play as a lone striker in the WC2006 as soon as he came back on the field from that injury. He held it too!! He will make a good headline. Cristiano is in "heat" at the moment. He's quick, that's all. What really keeps him there and wanted is his age! There are many players of at least his skill level, but they much older. He's young, and has decent skills, so managers hope he's to last over years like Scholes, Ronaldo, Giggs, Roy Keane. Brazilian Ronaldo!

Portugese Ronaldo at the moment, Brazilian Ronaldo as an overall player over the years. Brazilian Ronaldo has twice received 'Fifa footballer of the year'. He has also played in 4 World Cups and received the highest goal scorer in two of them. Portugese Ronaldo has only played for one big club "Man United", brazilian Ronaldo has played for "Inter Milan, Real Madrid, AC Milan..etc". Overall my opnion Portugese Ronlado has still a long way to go.

Well, first of all, I hate it when people compare these two players just because they have the same last name. They play completely different footbal. One is a striker, and one is a midfielder. At the moment though, Cristiano is probably the best there is, maybe even better than ronaldinhio. All Ronaldo ever did was score goals, but no one can handdle the ball like cristiano.

right now? it's cristiano ronaldo by far. he's got great spped, vision, dribbling ability, and has developed a knack for scoring.
but, i would rather have ronaldo in the prime of his career. he had great size and speed, was strong, was a very good dribbler (especially for his size and position), and could score from anywhere.
it's too hard to make a call right now who will be the better player. ronaldo was as good a player of his generation, an all-time great, and cristiano is still very very young. he certainly has the talent to become a legend, but we just don't know yet

Ronaldo # 9 is and was one of the best! But now we have Cristiano Ronaldo #17 Winger & Midfielder who does wonders, and everyone who knows says so! it's just that Cristiano is only 22, just starting you could say and Ronaldo #9 is a bit older and has suffered injuries!
Both are great in their own position!

Currently, no doubt its Cristiano.
If I could pick which I would want in the prime of their career? C. Ronaldo looks like he well be such a player but Ronaldo was one of the best of his generation.
C. Ronaldo is relatively unproven, Ronaldo was once a proven talent over and over again.
Not a good comparison though, they are different players.

ORIGINAL Ronaldo, not some ugly, cheater dude like Cristiano.
I hate Cristiano with passion, and i hate Man. U with passion too.
There's no comparisson, Ronaldo (before, i have to admit he lost the magic) is a great player that actually plays soccer in the field, he doesn't only dives and acts...
