this is the first valentines we are spending together and i am drawing a blank, i dont want to scare him with over doing it, and what does a guy want , great sex is always givin to him and i always switch it upm so that its ot a rutine, so something other than that

What does he like? If he's into movies or video games give him a Blockbusters gift card or Circuit City gift card. Usually gift cards to some place is a sure bet.

Is there something he has been wanting? Like a tool or maybe something like an iPod or whatever? That way, it is not a super romantic over the top gift...but it shows that you care and listen to what he has to say.
I don't think a gift card is a good gift unless you are really just starting dating...it doesn't show much thought or effort.
