I truly am sorry you are in that situation. My husband had to re-do his resume because he couldn't get ANY job because they said he was over qualified. He was willing to take anything!
I guess the old saying...ignorant is bliss, is correct. I'm sorry so many people here have no idea what you have been through. For the life of me, I can't figure out why some are so unmerciful.
I truly hope you find something soon. Good luck!

The contraction of the manufacturing sector is largely to blame for your problems but as the dollar weakens more jobs will come. Hope you can hold out. It really isnt as rosy as the current administration says!!! Foreign countries analyze our economy and say what you are saying.

Hah. Anyone can get welfare. My crazy uncle got it for petes sake. You must be either mental-asylum crazy, or too well-off for welfare. Maybe you should have gone to college and got an education. Complaining about stuff is not going to help you any. My father worked his @ss off and he has done fine...with the exception of the 48% income tax in this state. But he didn't just up and become successful RIGHT out of medical school! We lived in a two-family house with no front steps and had to get food from other people long before he became successful. He applied for medical school TWO times before he got in. maybe if you did a little hard work and put in a little effort and stopped expecting the government to take care of you and wipe your butt, you might actually accomplish something.

Why not actually put some effort into it?

Hell, you could work at walmart till your 90. A teacher my wife knows just left his job with the district and picked up a Human resource job an independent firm. Took him about five Weeks, but it's all about if you put an effort into it.

Hope you find a job. But whining about it here doesn't get it for you.

Can you give more information in an update? How old are you? What type of job do you want? What pay? Where have you applied? Without this information no one can be of much help to you. Hang in there.

Well, you might want to work on your grammar and spelling, grandpa. Secondly, nothing is free. Get your wrinkled old butt out there and work for it. Thirdly, if you are just going to complain and not try to do anything to correct the ills you perceive then go somewhere else and have a great time.

Try getting a job disabled. If you don't like your situation, you have the right to start your own damn business!

This country is only great if you are a minority and the majority is paying your way.

Some people have it in their heads that we have it too good so we should lower our standards a bit.

Nothing will ever change until we get off our dead asses and unite. Thomas Jefferson said we would need a revolution every 20 years. He wasn't far from wrong.

There are jobs out there for everyone - sounds to me like you think you are worth more than you actually are. Beggars cant be choosers.

Is it our Presidents fault you dont have a job?
I dont think so.

It was Clinton who sent your jobs to Mexico.
