Do you know when ,roughly, it started crashing like this? If yes do a system restore to set to a date before the crashing has happened. Wont affect any installed programmes or anything.

I think the first thing to do is check whether you have enough memory. Right click on your Cdrive, or whichever drive you're using and click on "properties." A pie chart will be displayed showing how much space is occupied on your comp. and how much free space is left. If you have less than about one third of space left, consider clearing up some unused files or transferring them to an external hard drive. Then, also run a virus check and get rid of any infected files, programs, etc. If all else fails you may need to reinstall Windows, just remember first to back-up all your data.

Probably you do not have Windows updated. Click on Windows Update an download the latest version of Internet Exp also.

And a Trogan or Virus can cause that too, but id assume you have either Norton, McAfeee or AVG free on that and thats' not the problem.

Could be something simple like unseated hardware....
check to see that the Ram (memory sticks) are firmly seated in their slots as well as the network adaptor, also if your PC is plugged into the mains via a multi plug extension lead try swapping that with one you know to be good..
