In one response to a question I got about "ugliest celebrities" the answerer said Penelope Cruz was ugly. This surprised me because I always thought Penelope Cruz was/is very pretty and exotic, and that nobody except for maybe jealous women would say she's ugly, and this was a guy. I always hear ppl. saying how hot she is. Do some people say that she is ugly? What about her could be considered ugly? I don't see it

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What some people find attractive, others may find annoying. People have different tastes so you'd actually have to find the person who said she's ugly and ask him/her why they think she's ugly. I wouldn't say that she's ugly but I don't see where people think she's so beautiful, either. I'm one of the weird ones, I guess.

I know this sounds cheesy, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What is beautiful? That varies from person to person. Everyone has different tastes. Some people will find Penelope Cruz hot. Others will not. We are all different. It is as simple as that.

I wouldn't say ugly- I don't think people realize how difficult it is to be truly ugly. But, for a movie star, not attractive. I always wondered how she got Tom Cruise. And Salma Hayak blows her away! I don't really even know how Penelope Cruz got to such a famous level of acting. I do not find her attractive.

No, I don't think she is ugly but I don't think she is "beautiful" either. I think it is about the new movie in which she starred. Everybody (probably mostly males) are oohing and aahing over the way in which she looks. What would any of the celebrities look like without make-up, gorgeous clothes, etc.
Like the others have said, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise,...I don't find them all that attractive. They are nice looking but nothing that attracts me. It's like all the other celebrities. Sally Field is such a good actress, but she isn't all that "pretty". Nicole Kidman is very "cute" but I can't say she is sexy or exotic.
Give me George Clooney though...I find him "attractive" because of his personality mostly and a little of his looks. Looks can only get your foot in the door. After that you better have more to go on.

She is vry pretty, but for a Spanish girl not that pretty. ?She obvioulsy has Jeiwsh blood.
She is very different in Hollywood though and I am glad for the diversity because I get tired of the same old fake blond or ugly black girl in the movies!!!.

I know a few guys who do not think she is hot. But then again they think Paris is....so Yuck!
I think Penelope looks funny, but she is not ugly. Just would not make my top 100 list.

its not that she is ugly but in my opinion there is three types of looks. She is the kind that there is something off that doesn't look right. The three types are 1) Real good looking 2) Something off 3) Tour up

I don't think it has anything to do with jealousy, I don't think she's pretty, I don't like her nose, her lips, we all have different opinions on what or who we consider attractive. But I do love her personality though. Now her friend Salma, I think she's way prettier that Penelope. MY opinion of course.
