Social Services has to prove to a judge that they have just cause to remove a child/children from a home..I know it sounds stupid but if a judge finds that Social Servies doesn't have enough to prove the child/children are in danger then the judge will not sign a PPO for the worker.. Then the worker will have no right taking the child/children...Even though to you and myself can see that they should be taking the child away from the parents..Sometimes it is the case worker but most times it is the judge not signing for them to remove the child because he doesn't see enough evidence to make the case..

I will explain I got three girl I was single at the time one got very sick I took her to a friend she even tryed to feed her but their was no way she would eat took her to the DOC'S and they said keep trying once again I did she still would not eat , then I had the doc weigh her she had lost about 2 LBS . I had them put her in I stayed with her night and day to find out she had reflex and if I did not put her in when I did she would have died in a short time mean while my other 2 kids were with their GRANDMOTHER and THOSE *** HOLES told me that they were going to take my kids away because I was a bad mother . BOY did they ever BARK up the wrong tree . You talk about why they are in so much **** in ALBERTA because of a little 3 year old boy that they took from the mother while she was getting help the kids foster MOM KILLED HIM so WHAT DO YOU SAY TO THAT THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT OK .

They use the excuse that there is just not enough of them to go around... bad excuse. They seem to go after the ones who really don't need any intervention though. This happens all too often and the children are the ones who suffer for it. We need an overhaul of our child protective services or more people that truly care about the kids in this world. It's a sad situation. One family had their kid taken away because he was overweight... don't you think they had other children with Much worse problems than that?

I grew up in the foster system and social services prides itself on trying to fix families...I was physically and verbally abuse by my mother...I was in foster care from the age of 5 to 12...I was adopted at twelve and even then social services didn't do their job because I was Sexually abused by my adopted father...So basically its because they take to much pride in fixing families than they do in protecting children...harsh I know but I've experianced it and its a load of crap.

to many cases to keep up with work over load your talking about 70 to 80 kids per worker.. that's not an excuse but its cold hard facts.. we need more workers but the pay sucks and the job does too. to many hours and to much pain.. if you worry about it alot like i do volunteer to help get trained and hold on to your heart.. you will see and hear alot of things that you wish you never knew about...

Simple answer - too many cases of abuse and not enough case workers to handle the load. It's a tragedy that must be addressed!

Don't complicate it by making excuses for incompetent governmental employees. In brief most are incompetent and have no dedication to doing the job they are paid to do. What we need are changes in the law which would allow public 'servants' to face criminal charges for negligence resulting in injury to others.
