ON most issues we have consensus on what the problem is. It is the solution we fight about. The main reason consensus cannot be reached is because of different philosophies on the problems.

Conservatives want you to be able to help yourself out of the problem by letting you keep you own money, donate to your charities, and making the laws so that government is less obtrusive in your life.

Liberals want the government to fix everything, in order to do that they raise taxes and create more restrictive laws and government controls.

We have something to provide consensus, and it's called a Constitution.

The 10th Amendment provides that this legislation belongs to the States.

It is the liberals who wish to circumvent the majority, by using civil rights to enact judicial legislation on issues that belong to the States.

abortion is a good example. Roe has been challenged several times in the last 30 years...the results have been abortions that include restrictions. Rights are intact, and restrictions reflect the concern for responsibility in those decisions. Anyone who thinks it is easy, cheap, available at any time for any reason, as many times as you want, obviously is not educated on the matter.

You answered your own question. They have an interest in staying there and making money. Put on a show to do it. Who cares what we think? Less then half of us ever vote, so they have to think we really don't care.
