What can you say when your writing an essay about a backyard barbeque from a flie's point of veiw. can anyone add to this, The backyard Barbeque looked great to the fly in the air... it looked better far away then up close to the fly.....

I just want to remind you that it would be "the fly's point of view"... "flies" would imply that there is more than one fly, and since it does not seem that way from your question, I'd make sure to correct that before you write your essay. ;) Also, look up the difference between than and then. It will make a difference in your essay as well. :)
Next, think about the things that go on at a barbeque from your perspective. What sights and smells would you typically experience? What is in the yard? Are there a lot of people? Which foods are set out? What's on the grill? Is there a grill? (You can go on forever like that, honestly!) Then, think about what things would seem like if you are as small as a fly. What would you notice then? How tall the grass is? How big the people appear? Now, if you're a fly, what are the chances that you even know what grass and people are? How do you describe something you may or may not know much about other than the fact they are 'big, weird, bugs'?
This should actually be a fun assignment, just let your imagination run wild. If you're a fly, how strange might it be to land on an ear of corn slathered with butter and try to escape before you're eaten? Or how would you react if you flew too close to the grill?

Just be creative by thinking about it from the fly's perspective. What would your senses tell you?

What would it smell like, what is sweet, sticky, or smelly? What is dangerous?
