I need a humidifier in my house because every morning when I wake the back of my throat is dry. I went online to get a price check and I found the 3 referenced humidifiers. I read the detail for each one and I couldn't find a difference between the 3, except in the price ($35-$40, so $$$ wouldn't be a factor in my decision). They all say they do the same things, and if that's the case than why is there a need for an Ultrasonic, Cool Mist and Warm Mist humidifier? The brand of humidifier is Vick's, and it is on cvs.com.

On a side note, I drink water, it might not be 8 glasses a day, but I come close. I know I drink enough water to not be dehydrated. This has only been happening recently and it only happens when I wake up.

Here's my experience- the warm mist humidifier shoots out like a warm steam into the air- the cool mist humidifier actually isn't supposed to shoot out a mist at all (it says so in the directions) and it kind of makes it feel like it's not doing anything- the ultra sonic shoots out a cool mist into the air. I didn't like the warm mist one because it made my room too hot, and I didn't like the cool mist one because it seemed like it wasn't doing anything at all. I bought the Vicks Ultrasonic one and it works great.
