If you do not have internet service already, you have two possibilities. First, you could get a personal internet access provider. You will be billed on a monthly basis; the price of different providers varies and also varies depending on how fast your internet connection is. If you pay for an internet connection, your provider will be able to get you any hardware and drivers that you need.

Second, if your laptop has a wireless card installed, you can log on to wireless networks, such as the free "hot spots" at many coffee shops and libraries or the pay service at Barnes and Noble. If your laptop has a wireless card, it should automatically display a bubble message in the lower-right corner of the screen when it detects wireless networks within its range. (Some networks are password-protected; a small lock icon will be displayed next to these. You cannot log on to a locked network without getting the password from the owner of the network.)

Now, if you have internet at your home already, you should just be able to connect to that. If your primary computer is connected to the internet via the Ethernet port, you might have to buy an Ethernet hub (they are not too expensive) and connect your modem, computer, and laptop to the hub. Your modem might also have USB support, in which case you would not need the hub. You could also set up a wireless home network, in which case you would have to buy a wireless network hub and follow the installation instructions that come with it. (If you set up a home network, make sure you secure the network so that your neighbours or passers-by cannot connect and use it without your knowledge.)

Well does your laptop have wireless internet potential or does it require the connection of a phone line, like mine does. All I had to do was plug in a phone line and then install the internet that I wanted and it was just that easy, i have dial up so its not fast or anything but it works. Before the use of a phone line I could get wireless to an extent but the connection was terrible and broke out every so often. If you need any more help just email me, link in profile.

We will get one sim card from reliance which will provide internet wireless inserting that card in to the laptop we can use internet this is one way.
By using a cellphone which is having GPRS option in it connecting the phone through the usb cable to the laptop and the phone should
be activated the internet services by any of the following broadband

U can use it either wired or wireless.
If it is wired...
1) Check if it is a DSL connection( port would look like a telephone jack)
2) check if it is a coaxial connection( port would look like a TV cable)

If it is wireless...
1) Check if u have wireless adapter inbuilt in to ur laptop.
2) Else get an ext adapter.
3) Fix a router to transmit wireless signal
