You can use counter surveillance products such as bug sweepers, wireless camera detectors and telephone tapping devices to find out if you are under surveillance. These are available on most spy shops on the Internet but can be costly. If you cannot find physical eveidence that you are under surveillance, it may be wise to hire a private detective to help find out, e.g. put you under surveillance to see if you are being watched or followed.

Computer surveillance can be tackled firstly by looking for physical intruision such as key loggers attached to or in the keyboard. Secondly you can employ software such as anti-virus and spyware to remove known spy software. Thirdly it is wise to scan the computer for unknown software, e.g. clicking alt+ctrl+del once to open the 'Windows Task Manager', look at the processes tab, then type the name of the process in yahoo or google to see if that process is safe or not. Most of the time the information will show if its a bad process and how to remove it. The safest method to prevent surveillance on PC is regular anti-virus & spyware scans, stop physical access to the PC and only visit trusted websites.

Use home CCTV cameras to watch what is going on in and around the home, even onw looking at the PC to determine if activity is taking place on the screen. These cameras can be remotely accessed over the Internet for live viewing and being alerted to events. IP cameras are a good choice.

If you find that you are under surveillance, it would be best to report to the police if you do not know who is watching. If you think you know who is watching, then contacting an attorney is best to resolve the situation.

I'm not sure what kind of surveillance you might be referring to. But I know where you can get some bug sweepers and frequency finders if you suspect any wireless surveillance. Here is a link below to a website that sells that kind of stuff.

There is no resolving it if it is by the government.

With the Patriot Act they have given themselves the legal right to do it!
