If there weapons involved in the charges against you forget about it most states. If not just apply with Fish and Game and if they deny you ask them why and what you have to do to get your hunting license back.

Keep in mind that technically you only need a hunting liscence if you hunt on state land. Private property is generally out of the jurisdiction of state F&G boards.

At the end of your probabtion you should get documentation that you have completed all of the terms of your sentencing. Then go to Fish and Wildlife, or whoever handles these things in your state, and re-apply for a license.

Edit - I'm assuming you were convicted of poaching or other similar offense. The guy above is right. Some felons may have their firearms rights restricted even after they satisfy probation.

You sound like a "poacher" to me??? Why do you need a gun, use what God gave you, your brain and if that does not work, your hands, and let what ever animal you want to hunt, use what God gave them for protection.???

Depends on what you did - my understanding is that once convicted of a felony - you can never carry a gun again.
