I have a bad cold and my drug list says Robotussein is safe, however when I went to the store it comes only in CF and DM. Has anyone taken these when pregnant...sorry I am paranoid about what I put in my body

I wouldn't try it unless your doctor tells you it's okay

I got a list from my OB and both CF and DM are on the list, so they are okay to take.

Is your drug list from you obstetrician ..I am having my second and never heard of taking anything but Tylenol call your doctor just to be safe good luck and get better soon!

Both those are safe. I know for sure DM is because it it on my list

i'm 23 weeks and robitussin is safe.
i got the flu with my last pregnancy and that was what i had to take because i was 34 weeks.
I hate taking meds when pregnant but colds suck......

Call your OB. Mine gave my a phone # to call and ask if a certain drug was safe or not. They had nurses and counselors for you to talk to. It was a wonderful resource.

Make a quick phone call to your ob/gyn and ask. I thought the only safe thing was tylenol...

No it is not all you are suppose to take is Tylenol and Sudafed and that is it for medicine when you are pregnant so call your O.B and ask them which kind of Tylenol or Suddafed to take.

yes you can take robitussin just make sure you get the alcohol free kind. your local pharmacy can tell which one is safe.

i just go the drug list that my ob gave me and it says for colds you can take SUDAFED < TYLENOL COLD< OR TYLENOL FLU and for coughs ROBITUSSIN< HALLS OR SUCRETS COUGH DROPS it says usse as directed on teh package.
