I was curious to know how often is it important to stay the night constantly at your mate's place and is it wrong to want to stay at your own home at times

Why not take turns at each others houses. Maybe they are more comfortable at their own. If they want to stay home and you want to go to yours, just go.

It's not important at all..I mean if your mate wants to stay and you're cool with that great! BUT it can become an issue because people like their space and dont want to be bothered all the time.
Subliminally encourage that person to stay where they pay rent!

First of all, if you don't want to stay there, don't. Explain to them that you want to be comfortable at your house too and invite them over. It is perfectly natural to get burnt out on spending too much time with them.
