I'm part of a local radio station's "VIP" program where you earn points and use them to purchase prizes and one of the current prizes are tickets to go see the Harlem Globetrotters. I have enough points but I wanna know if it's worth it. Has anyone seem them live?

Umm, to the person who said the Globetrotters "don't exist anymore", they do. Why else would they have tickets available? And I've been to an And1 game and contrary to what you think, they did stick around and sign autographs. I dunno why they're associated with this negative connotation of the "thug life". Watch their shows and DVD's and they do a lot around their communities and they love hanging around with the kids. Plus, they are very talented basketball players and have NBA potential, as proven by And1 player Skip To My Lou a.k.a. Rafer Alston who plays for the Houston Rockets.

As for the Globetrotters, I still haven't come to a decision as to whether I want to see them or not.

It's always fun to see the trotters. But I should warn you if you are going there rooting for the Washington Generals then you are going to be mighty disappointed.

It is a family orientated show smaller children will love it. Older kids and teenagers want to see the And1 tour. The And1 guys are doing what the Globetrotters have been doing for decades with more class.

Actually the globe trotters do not exist anymore. AND1 is successful, and contrary to what the responder said about them being classier than the HG, I would have to strongly disagree. The actually involve the crowd, AND1 doesnt. HG would stay for hours to sign autographs, AND1 does not (unless they have a contract stipulation for some cities, and they actually charge for autographs. THE HG were popular in a different era, now its all about the street ball, and thug life style. I wouldnt want my kids exposed to that ****. Yes they can play ball, but its just a glorified street game. the HG is fun to watch, with joking around and humor left and right.

They are worth seeing. Saw them as a child and it's still one of my favorite 'sports' memories. I intend to take my sons to see them when my boys get a little older.
