A dollar in Ghana goes much further than a dollar in the US, prices and wages are much lower over there.

As for starting a business - a quarter of the Ghanaian population are 'business' people in that they own their own business - the vast majority being a roadside stall. There is also 20% unemployment. If you start a business you're either in competition with loads of other people or you have to do something on a lrger scale.

One area in Ghana which has plenty of openings is education - the government spends more on this than anything else and are concentrating hard on improving educational standards and facilities. You could look into setting up some sort of training centre, depending on what you do you might not need any money as the government may provide accommodation and equipment and pay you for doing the training.

Hard to be specific without knowing more details but hope this helps.

You can't start a business with $100. Your best bet is to prepare a detailed business plan with clear objectives and expected financial needs and gains. Take your proposal to SBA or similar small business help organizations and ask them to help you develop it. Then you need to apply for a business loan.

Bottom line: no money, no business.
