I have a 6 month old baby that is already crawling and sitting up by herself. We had to lower her crib mattress to the lowest position so there's no way out she can fall out of it. The problem is that since the mattress is so low there's too much wood (crib) around that can really harm her since she can injured herself anytime. Is there any crib bumper taller than 10"? If so, is there any website that you recommend for buying crib bumpers? Thanks!!!

Crib bumpers are dangerous. Especially once the baby is mobile. You should remove them right away. They were only invented way back when when the rails in the cribs were spaced further apart. Even now, they are saying that infants shouldnt have them in their crib, as it can cause suffocation. Is the babies crib up to federal safety standards? Or did you use one from a family member or yours from infancy? If you did get it from someone else or it was yours, than I would suggest buying a new one. You said she was getting hurt... but from what? Does the mattress fit to the point where you cant put more than one fingure between the crib and mattress? If not, then you need a new mattress. One that properly fits..
Good luck and congrats!

At this point, you should not be using a bumper once the child is able to sit up by themself or pull up. The bumper can act like a stepping stone for the baby as they will begin pulling up before you know it.

The safest thing is to remove the bumper and make sure the mattress is snug to the crib.

Crib bumpers are dangerous. And you know what, your kid is going to hit their head on things. Sorry but it is true. You can't keep them in a bubble all the time. If it isn't the crib bars it is the corner of the entertainment unit, the baby gate, etc.

You should remove crib bumpers as soon as your child is mobile. They are very hazardous. We have never used them. Your child can't work up enough strength to hurt themself on the wood, but they can use the bumper to climb out of the crib and fall to the ground. Lose them all together.

yes you really need to not even have one, or you need to use a mesh bumper so she cannot suffocate at this age she is able to move around and pull on it and suffocate herself.
