Right i have been here ,Worn the tee shirt
I had loads of problems first phone the firm who has the tag on your house ask them for the number of the tag mine wouldn`t give it
BT told me they had to give it to me so i threatened the other firm still no joy so i phoned bt back up and explained there was no way the other firm would remove my marker
Fair play bt promised to sort it out and they did
they were absolutely brilliant i haven't a clue what they said to the other broadband service but it worked so do like i did
This only happened last October
Good Luck to you

If you just took over the line the broadband supplier you are going to can arrange to remove the tag for you, ask them to contact BT wholesale (different division of BT to BT retail) to arrange this. If you have a tag left over from cancelling a previous broadband you need to wait ten days then the broadband supplier can arrange this, they are unable to do anything till after this period.

If you know which company put the tag n the line they may be able to remove it too.
