I admire Confucius and am currently reading the Analects but in my research of this famous philosopher I have come across some of his sayings on women and I must say that I don't agree with them, I know that it's not a religion or anything so I don't have to agree with everything in Confucianism but I would like to hear how Confucianists feel about this. Men and women's views are welcome but especially women. Are there any women Confucianists?

when reading ancient philosophies one must remember the time and climate in which they were written. there are very few sayings or quotes, about women, from that time period that fit with most modern views of sexual equality. it's important to try to modify these ancient philosophies without losing their overall intent and message.
