I'm an identical twin & I'd just like to give you a bit of imput: it's corny & your kids won't appreciate being named w/ the same first letter. Trust me, no one wants to sound like they're from a t.v. show. Your kids are going to want to feel independant at some point & the name thing is only going to hinder upon that. Twins don't like being treated like one person. Giving them a name that sounds similar might seem cute & all but put yourself in their position. Any of your favorite boy & girl names would be fine. Don't try to make it sound cutsie or matchy. Trust me!

1. Twins are just two children who happen to be born at the same time. Name them accordingly.

2. The proper use for a list of popular names is to *eliminate* possibilities, not add to them. That is, if you have a list of names you like, you can shorten it by crossing off the ones that also appear on the "most popular" list. Any other use will do a great disservice to your children, as they struggle to differentiate themselves from the hordes of other Briannas and Aidens in their class.

3. Misspelling a name does not magically turn it into a different, better name. It just turns it into a misspelling of the original name.

I have twin boys...and they don't have rhyming names. They are fraternal in every sense of the word. I would agree with the identical twin above and say give them their own name. People generally dont have their other kids names match, and it shouldnt be any different with the twins. Congratulations-you are going to love having twins! They are so much fun!!!

With my twins (boy, girl) I didn't do the same thing that everyone else does with naming the kids with the same letter..... What my husband and I did was he took the boys first name and I did the middle and on our little girl I did the first name and he did the middle name... We thought that it was the only fair way to do it... Our kids names are Nathaniel and Ashlee.
Hope this may help you
