You have to do what is best for you. You can still forgive them, but not forget it.
You will have to change the way you deal with them. You are the one that will have to make changes and not let them in close to you....if you want them in your life..
You should only keep the good people in your circle close to you and keep the others at a distance where they can't hurt you.
If you allow their behaviou to affect your well being then maybe you need to let them go..
it is a two sided sword, but the question is, is it worth to pursue a relationship with them.
if it is destroying you self worth and they are not good people then your survival instinct should click into gear and you have to leave them behind...

Well, we dont talk to my husbands family because they threatened to sue us over gifts, used my husbands ssn to receive pay for jobs while they were on disability, to make matters worse the IRS came after us for the unpaid taxes which we had to pay back. They did this without my husbands knowledge. They have done other things too but those are the worst offenses. People dont deserve a second chance if they do messed up stuff like that. Family or not! Some people are only out for themselves. Give more details and I will give a better answer.

Well...if this is their first offense, everyone deserves another chance. You can't pick you family...if they are hurting you in a way that affects you in a strong way then you should probably distance yourself away from them..

I dont no the circumstances of your situation but my mother and i dont talk and probably never will again so i believe even the supposed unbreakable bonds can be broken if you can never really trust or get over what they have done 2 you. good luck

Is this a question? There's not enough info for us to form an opinion to share with you.

Being blood relatives with someone doesn't automatically mean anything about behavior. I have family members I don't see or talk to because of unethical things they have done to me. I don't care that they're related, it doesn't equal automatic forgiveness.

i guess that ur family is not a 'picture' perfect family. what u need to do is taught through a lot of therapy. it's called boundaries(Pia Mellody). once u know how to set them, u can give them another chance.
