Before you think about getting the job, learn to control your problems first. Otherwise, you will bomb it every time. Try deep breathing several minutes before the interview. It will calm you down. There is a technique called self-hypnosis, which is just calm down and say a few positive words to you with your eyes closed. You do that while waiting but not the last minute.

Practice interview with someone senior so you are used to dealing with people with authority. Most interviewers like to test you with questions such as your weaknesses and so forth. You should rehearse those instead of trying to make up something under stress. All and all, you should be prepared for most of the questions. Keep in mind that most interviewers are not experts and don't know how to interview either.

Even if you are caught under stress, stay polite and keep eye contact. If you let it avalanche downwards, you end up burying yourself. Get thru one tough spot the best you can and it is important that you recover with the next question.

At the closing, it is ok to tell the interviewer that you were a little nervous and assure him that you are competent to do the job.

Obviously, you shouldn't go for jobs that require you to work smoothly under stress all the time,.

2 things: Practice a bunch of times with a bunch of people. Even go on a few interviews for jobs you KNOW you dont want.

If that doesn't work, I hate to say it, but think about asking your doctor for a little chemical courage.

Believe that you can solve their problems and let them know that you can. Keep it simple.
