I cant help to notice on this show that this might be a form of entrapment...some of these guys will probably never try to meet a minor or even come across one.and are they being led on?on the latest show this one guy locked himself in his home after he was caught and commited suicide,he might have gone the rest of his life without messing with a minor...has dateline gone too far where people are dying now?and i AM AGAINST SEXUAL PREDATORS ESPECIALLY WHEN CHILDREN ARE INVOLVED BUT THIS SEEMS LIKE IT MIGHT BE GOING TO FAR.AND NBC IS GETTING GOOD RATINGS OUT OF THIS IM SURE.

to me yes it is entrapment...just like prostitution stings where an undercover officer dresses up as a prostitute...It goes too far when you try to get people to commit crimes in front of you. If you ask me its just another step towards restricted freedoms and a police state

It's hard to say if it's entrapment since we don't see the build up to most of these meetings.
But you are naive to think that these guys are doing this for the first time or this is/would have been the one and only time that they would have tried to meet a minor for sex. I mean come on - I'm online all the time and I have yet to find myself chatting with a 12 year old about sex. You know - a 38 year old guy just doesn't stumble accross a chat room populated by preteens and start engaging them in chat. If this kind of stuff happens to them it's because they are going looking for it.
You are a special kind of gullible if you believe some of the ridiculous excuses these predators give after they have been caught.

If you give a guy a gun and a mask and tell him that there is someone around the corner with $10,000 in cash, are you guilty of entrapment if he goes around the corner and steels the money? No one makes these pervs go that house. Their intention was to have sex with a minor. I don't agree that the guy who committed suicide might never have done anything.
