C, Nixon was on the fast track to impeachment, but he resigned first.

(Nixon was not actually impeached, there are only two presidents who were ever impeached, Andrew Johnson and William Jefferson Clinton)

The answer is :"C". The previous poster is wrong, Nixon was never impeached. Only Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton have been impeached. Nixon resigned the day before the impeachment proceedings were scheduled to begin.
