If I was a politician I would because it's the perfect thing. Most people naturally hate "bad people" anyway,so it would be very easy to introduce I.D cards on the back of a paedophile/terrorism/other problem. It's peoples natural fear you see. What do you think?

I hear what you are saying but how would such cards help? They won't have a box on them saying 'Occupation: Paedophile'. How would we be any the wiser with them than without them?

Never mind ID cards. Paedophiles should have "Paedophile" tattooed on their foreheads.

That way we would know who they are and could keep them away from our kids as the Government obviously aren't going to (see recent case of convicted Paedophile allowed to work out in a school gymnasium so as not to infringe his "human rights" . . .)

Based on a thorough and reasoned assessment of the intelligence, making due allowances for tabloid reactions and the photogenic merits of the responsible minister, and drawing on cross party support (or democracy in action as it is also known) the UK government will continue to do precisely as it pleases because it has no reason to fear the consequences of getting it wrong.

I guess all 3 and others create a type of terror for the public.
I've come to expect the public to be made to be afraid so that new laws could come in. And terrorism was used to help kickstart that stupid ID card scheme a couple of years ago. Mass mind control. Scary.

It wouldn't work, you can still be a murderer with an ID card. Or a terrorist with an ID card.
