it's because you've got spyware/malware installed on your system.

download these two free spyware removers and run them, the reason i recommend two is that one might pick up what the other one missed.

I would have to ask what search engine you are using. Most likely you are either using a clone of a popular search engine that redirects you to sites that pay them a kickback, or you have some kind of browser hijack.

Best bet would be to do a spyware and virus scan, and stick to the three or four major search engines out there. Either Yahoo, Google, MSN or Ask.

Sounds like your system is infected to redirect your browser. Consider checking the Hijack This website to see if they can assist in removal. I've also used SpyBot S&D in the past with pretty good results. You'll want to use several tools rather than just one in some cases. You could have multiple infections that a single tool may not be setup to detect/fix.

You may also want to consider using an alternate browser. Just switching browsers won't fix the problem but is more likely to assist in preventing future infections. Several choices are: FireFox, Opera, and Netscape.

I see you have got the El Cheapo Virus. This virus attacks computer owners too cheap to buy a good anti-virus program. lol

Anyway, you have a hijack virus. You need to run an anti-virus scan. If you do not have anything. Then go to and save the two sites below. Once on the site go to downloads for free spyware removal.

Also, go to the all programs. And in the list click PC HELP & TOOLS. Do a RESTORE. It is like a time machine. You can go back to where your machine was running good before you had the problems. This is what I would do first and see if it works.

Also programs like Norton's works in the background to keep the viruses from getting on in the first place. The free stuff removes the virus AFTER it gets on your machine. Also you can go to Nortons for a FREE full 15 day trial of their anti-virus program.

Its not very clear what you mean to me, I could do with some examples of what you tired to look at and where you got sent so I can test it. It is possible that it is a pop up in the page that redirects you to an advertising site or porn site or similar.

If you have the sites I will look, just add to your original post

One possible reason is you have Windows operating systems and you have been hacked like millions of others! The best long term fix is to dump Windows and get a free good operating system, like Kubuntu, instead, at www.kubuntu.org
