Take it from someone who has helped many people in your shoes: If the police officer who pulled you over doesn't appear, you may have a chance of fighting the ticket -- if that happens, plead not guilty and say you believe you may have been speeding but you don't believe you were going that fast, and also say you didn't ask to see the radar reading because you weren't sure if state law allows you to make such a request. There's a good chance the judge will dismiss if the police officer isn't there to testify. But if the police officer IS there tomorrow, your best bet is to plead guilty and tell the judge that you didn't realize you were going so fast, but you take full responsibility for your actions and ask for leniency. The important thing about going to court for a traffic citation is you have to appear sincere and respectful to the judge. If you come of as copping an attitude, having an axe to grind, or not owning up to your mistake the judge is going to HAMMER you. So wear a shirt and a tie at the very least (a suit would be better), be sure to say "Yes, Your Honor" or "No, Your Honor" -- you get the idea -- don't say ANYTHING negative about the police officer who pulled you over or the prosecutor or any aspect of the legal system, and keep your comments as factual as possible. Good luck!

Have you been to traffic school in the past 2 years? If not, you could go to traffic school and the ticket doesn't show up on your record. School is not cheap though.
There should be a number on your ticket jacket (the envelope/pamplet they gave you). Call to see if you're eligble to go. You shouldn't have waited for court date, you should have checked on traffic school the day you got your ticket.
Better show up for court or you'll be in bigger trouble!
I think all speeding tickets in AZ are considere criminal traffic violations.
watch your speed!!!

Not sure about the plea, but I believe criminal speeding is going 20 miles over the posted sped limit. Different state, different terminology.

Try this one. Pay your debt to society and get your life together. You were doing 27 MPH over the speed limit, plus you have a DUI on your record? They arent gonna cut you any breaks.
You brought it on yourself.
